A single day in Veria on foot: Apostle Paul, two churches, a museum, lunch in town. Vergina only with a car and an open Tuesday.
Start at the Step of Apostle Paul. Walk to the Old Metropolis and one church in Kyriotissa. Use the afternoon for the Byzantine Museum and Barbouta. Eat once in the old town, and once is enough.
Vergina does not fit the same day unless you have a car and the tombs are open. Monday they are not. Drop Vergina rather than rush both.
