About Veria
Veria carries three ages within it: the gold of the Macedonian kings, the frescoes of Byzantium and the wooden houses of Barbouta. You can reach them all on foot – or half an hour away.

Macedonia
Aigai, the first capital of the Macedonians. The royal tombs of Vergina are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Acts of the Apostles 17
Here Paul spoke to the Bereans.
They received the word eagerly and examined the Scriptures every day – so the Acts of the Apostles tell of the people of Beroia.
