Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. Who we are

VeriaGuide (https://veriaguide.gr) is operated by Konstantinos Kakoulis, Mitropoleos 54, Veria, Greece. Contact: info@veriaguide.gr

2. Data we collect on this website

  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): only loaded after you accept the cookie notice. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect pseudonymous usage data (pages visited, device/browser, approximate location). Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.

  • Essential cookies: cookie_consent (stores your cookie choice, 12 months), vg_theme (display theme), a favourites cookie (places you saved), and an AI Trip Planner session cookie. These are needed for the site to work and do not track you across sites.

  • AI Trip Planner: the preferences you enter (dates, interests, etc.) are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate an itinerary and kept in a temporary session. We keep anonymous usage statistics; raw IP addresses are not stored (only a short one-way hashed code and country).

  • Submission / contribution forms: if you submit a business or contribute photos/text, we process the details you provide (name, email, business details, files) to review and publish the content.

  • Emails: if you write to us, we use your message only to reply.

  • Server logs: our hosting server records technical data (IP address, browser, time) for security and operation.

3. Legal basis and retention

Consent (analytics), legitimate interest (security, essential functionality), and your request (forms, emails). Data is kept only as long as necessary for these purposes: form submissions and emails as long as necessary to process the request, max. 24 months; server logs up to 30 days; analytics data according to the Google Analytics retention setting.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the site (hosting provider, Google Analytics, Google Gemini API) or when required by law.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing by emailing info@veriaguide.gr. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing the cookie notice choice. You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

6. Google API data – "Odyssi Keywords" tool

"Odyssi Keywords" is a private, internal tool used only by the operator of VeriaGuide. It is not offered to the public.

  • Scope used: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords (Google Ads API).

  • Purpose: read keyword ideas and search-volume/competition/CPC statistics from Keyword Planner for the operator's own Google Ads account, for SEO and marketing research. The tool does not create, edit or delete campaigns.

  • Storage: the OAuth refresh token is stored securely on a private server with restricted access. Keyword results are stored only as research files for the operator.

  • Sharing: Google user data is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising or to train AI/ML models.

  • Limited Use: VeriaGuide's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Revoking access: access can be revoked at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions; the stored token is then deleted on request.
